SBI Employees Announce Nationwide Bank Strike on May 25-26

Employees of State Bank of India have announced a two-day nationwide strike on May 25 and 26, demanding resolution of issues related to staffing, security and working conditions.

The employees’ association is seeking immediate recruitment for messenger posts, deployment of armed security guards and adequate staffing across branches. They have also opposed outsourcing of permanent posts.

According to the association, staff shortages and weak security arrangements are affecting both employees and customer service. The union has appealed for public support during the strike.
