Boat Carrying Schoolchildren Capsizes in Dhubri, All Rescued Safely

Dhubri: A major tragedy was averted in Assam’s Dhubri district after a country boat carrying 15–20 schoolchildren and several residents capsized near Mela Ghat on Thursday. Local people quickly rescued all passengers, and no casualties were reported. The incident has renewed demands for safe ferry services and a bridge, as flood-hit villagers continue to rely on small boats for daily travel, including children commuting to school.
