DEE Assam Relaxes Joining Deadline for Teachers on Census Duty

Guwahati: The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, has withdrawn the 14-day joining deadline for primary teachers transferred through the mutual transfer process who are currently engaged in Census-related duties.

The relaxation applies to teachers involved in Census work, while others must join their new schools within the prescribed period. The decision follows concerns raised by the Assam State Primary Teachers’ Association (ASPTA), which highlighted difficulties faced by teachers unable to leave their Census assignments.
