Seven Hospitalised After Fire Breaks Out at Guwahati Nursery

Guwahati: At least seven people were hospitalised after a fire broke out at Kamakhya Nursery in the Maligaon area on Friday. The blaze reportedly started following a short circuit in a generator and quickly spread across several floors, triggering panic among occupants.

During the evacuation, a teenage boy reportedly used a rope to escape from a third-floor window, while another man jumped from the building and suffered injuries. Rescue teams rushed to the spot to evacuate those trapped inside and control the situation. The extent of property damage and the condition of those admitted to hospital were not immediately known.
