A cop has been suspended for drinking while on duty in Assam

For gross misconduct and dereliction of duty, the DCP of West Guwahati Police District suspended UB constable Om Prakash Singh of Fatasil Ambari Police Station in Guwahati.

The DCP acted on the report of Inspector Satish Sahoo, the officer in charge of Fatasil Ambari Police Station. DGP GP Singh had previously ordered the most severe lawfully permissible departmental action against police officers found inebriated while on duty and in uniform.
