Apollo Excelcare Hospital Performs Landmark PGR Procedure on 111-Year-Old Patient in Assam

Apollo Excelcare Hospital in Guwahati, Assam, made history by becoming the first hospital in the Northeast to successfully perform a Pulse Generator Replacement (PGR) procedure on a 111-year-old patient. The procedure, carried out by a cardiology team under local anesthesia, involved replacing the pulse generator for Bilat Bibi, who had a history of pacemaker implantation. Despite the challenges due to her advanced age and health conditions, the procedure was successful, and the patient was stable at discharge with no complications.
