Assam Chief Minister Announces Inauguration of Six-Lane Bypass on NH-37

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the inauguration of the six-lane expanded bypass on national highway – 37 connecting Khanapara to Jalukbari. Highlighting the state’s infrastructural development, he mentioned ongoing and completed projects totaling over ₹60,000 crore. Sarma emphasized the state government’s investment in various sectors, including the redevelopment of high schools and the creation of new ones. He also noted significant investments from the central government, including projects worth ₹16,000 crore dedicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Guwahati. The inauguration of the Jalukbari to Khanapara six-lane highway, including the flyover, was scheduled for the following day.
