Assam CM launches ‘Mukhya Mantrir Atmanirbhar Asom portal’

At a celebration conducted at Lok Sewa Bhawan here today, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ceremoniously opened an online portal to begin the application submission process for Mukhya Mantrir Atmanirbhar Asom.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Sarma stated that the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Assam Abhiyan was introduced on September 23, 2023, with the goal of establishing opportunities for self-employment and fostering self-reliance among the Assamese youth. He declared that measures will be done to enable two lakh young people to start their own businesses under the Abhiyan. In order to develop microenterprises or service units, the scheme’s recipients are eligible to receive an interest-free government loan in addition to a government grant of Rs. 2 lakh, which will be given in two installments. Over the next two years, the project aims to serve two lakh eligible individuals, according to the Chief Minister. He declared that Rs. 2 lakh would be handed to each of the two lakh youth.
