Assam evicts settlers from 2,000 hectares of sanctuary land

The Assam government on Tuesday launched an eviction drive to clear around 2,000 hectares of land being illegally occupied by over 2,500 families at Burha Chapori Wildlife Sanctuary in Sonitpur district amid tight police security.
