Assam government approves setting up of 50-MW Solar Park at Borsola in Sonitpur

Assam cabinet meeting on Thursday approved setting up of 50-MW Solar Park at Borsola, Sonitpur district by APDCL and land measuring 864 bigha, 2 katha & 11 lessa identified at 3 No. Chitolmari village, Borsola under Dhekiajuli Revenue Circle for the purpose.

The cabinet also approved development of a religious circuit in the Brahmaputra by covering five temples Kamakhya, Aswaklanta, Umananda, Doul Govinda and Pandunath – located on the banks/close proximity to the river.

These Circuit to be developed in partnership with Sagarmala Development Company Ltd, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. SDCL to form SPV with Inland Waterways Authority of India, Assam Tourism Development Corporation and Directorate of Inland Water Transport, Assam.
