Assam Govt, TATA-NELCO Launch Skill Education Model in Schools

The Department of School Education and Samagra Shiksha Axom, in partnership with TATA-NELCO, has launched the ‘Hub and Spoke Model of Skill Education’ in Assam’s government secondary schools. Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu termed it a historic step, aligned with NEP 2020, to equip students with industry-ready skills. The project will be rolled out in phases, covering 50 Hub Schools and 500 Spoke Schools, offering courses in AI, Robotics, EV technology, Drone operations, AR/VR, and more. TATA-NELCO will fund 75% of the project, marking one of the largest education investments in the state.
