Assam Rifles Seizes ₹40 Lakh Codeine Syrup in Agartala

Assam Rifles, along with the Customs Department, seized 140 cases of codeine-based cough syrup worth around ₹40 lakh in Agartala.

The operation was conducted in the Taranagar area, and the seized contraband has been handed over to customs for legal action. Authorities said efforts are ongoing to curb rising drug smuggling in the border state of Tripura.
