Attack at CMO in Tura was pre-planned: Meghalaya DGP

Speaking about the incident on attack at CMO, Meghalaya Director General of Police (DGP) LR Bishnoi on July 25 said that the attack was pre-planned, and the conspirators would not be spared. He said, “The attack on CM’s meeting with ACHIK leaders at CMO Tura on 24 July was pre-planned and conspirators would not be spared.

26 people have been identified and 22 persons have been arrested. Accused Richard Marak (TMC leader) was arrested by police for inciting violence on July 24 evening, 18 others were arrested. The persons or groups involved in creating violence have been identified and soon will be behind bars.
