Congress Claims Narengi-Kuruwa Bridge Foundation Already Laid by Tarun Gogoi

The Assam Congress said the Narengi-Kuruwa bridge foundation was first laid by ex-CM Tarun Gogoi in 2016, countering PM Modi’s recent inauguration. Congress leader Pradyut Bordoloi also accused BJP of hypocrisy over Pakistan ties in sports and criticised Modi’s delay in visiting violence-hit Manipur, despite frequent foreign trips. The remarks came after Modi launched projects worth over ₹18,500 crore, including the Guwahati Ring Road and a bamboo ethanol plant.
