Daylong mortar and gun attacks in Manipur resulted in 6 deaths

Six people were killed and 16 wounded by gun and mortar fire on Saturday in one of the worst attacks and counterattacks between two groups in the growing ethnic strife in Manipur.

There were also reports of shooting by unidentified men in Sanasabi and Thamnapokpi villages in Imphal East district. No casualties were reported.
