Dengue fever is still a major concern in Assam

Dengue fever infections have not decreased as much as other diseases. According to the Health Department, 54 cases of dengue fever remained active on September 25. There are 12 cases in the Dima Hasao district, 8 in Jorhat, and 34 in the Karbi Anglong East district. The state, on the other hand, has no confirmed cases of malaria or Japanese Encephalities.

From January 1 to September 25, 2023, there were 497 cases of Japanese Encephalitis, 6,074 cases of dengue, and 340 cases of malaria in the state. During the same time period, 34 people died from Japanese Encephalites and 6 from dengue.
