Dead lizard discovered in the food served at a restaurant in Guwahati

The discovery of a dead lizard in the food served to a customer in a Guwahati eatery sparked outrage in the eatery’s neighbourhood. On Monday, the incident occurred in the city’s Paltan Bazar neighbourhood.

A Silchar resident who had stopped by the Maa Kali Hotel in Paltan Bazar for dinner had ordered a rice thali. Customers were outraged when he discovered a dead lizard in one of the dishes served to him in the thali. This incident sparked a fight between customers and restaurant employees.

The customer later filed a complaint with the Paltan Bazar Police Station about the incident, highlighting the violation of hygiene standards as well as endangering the public’s health.
