Dhemaji Meeting Seeks Action on Encroached Land in Historic Habung

A public meeting in Habung-Halung-Hophi, Dhemaji, urged the Assam CM to reclaim over 100 bighas of encroached land in Habung, the second Ahom capital. The encroachment hampers government-funded development and tourism projects. The Habung Development Committee has failed to resolve the issue with encroachers and now seeks state intervention.
