Gaurav Gogoi Terms PM Modi’s Manipur Visit “Two Years Too Late”

Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi criticised PM Modi’s Manipur visit, calling it delayed and focused on optics over ground realities. He said Modi should have visited during the 2023 ethnic violence that killed over 260 people. Gogoi stressed the visit should respect Northeast sentiments, not image-building. Modi, meanwhile, announced ₹8,500 crore projects and met displaced people in Churachandpur and Imphal.
