Gogoi Questions Repeat Approval of Namrup Fertilizer Plant

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi accused the BJP of misleading Assam by re-approving the Namrup IV fertilizer plant. He noted a similar approval in 2015 with ₹7,200 crore, now repeated in 2025 with ₹10,601 crore. Gogoi urged CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to clarify. The plant will produce 12.7 LMT of urea annually and is set for completion in 48 months.
