GP Singh responds to Assam woman’s plea to save her from Rajathan

Following the release of a video of an Assamese woman pleading with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to save her, Director General of Assam Police (DGP) GP Singh stated on Tuesday that the state police are keeping a close eye on the situation.

According to sources, a woman originally from Bihpuria in Lakhimpur was pleading with the Veer Lachit Sena and the Assam chief minister to save her from the clutches of her husband, Amarchand Rathi, claiming that she would be murdered by her in-laws in Rajasthan.
