Guwahati HC directed Mizoram to set up committee on traffic management

The Gauhati High Court has directed Mizoram chief secretary to constitute a committee on traffic management with regard to the steps to be taken to decongest traffic in Aizawl and implementation of the same.

The Aizawl division bench of Justice Michael Zothankhuma and Justice Marli Vankung further directed that the committee, to be headed by the chief secretary, should see whether the rules or guidelines or regulations being applied for providing parking space for vehicles of various institutions, offices, residential buildings, schools, hospitals, business premises is sufficient and/or
