Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) Cadres Arrested for Grenade Attack

Four members of the Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) involved in a grenade attack at Dotma Bazar in Kokrajhar district on December 9, 2023, were apprehended and presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Kokrajhar. Identified as Kanak Adhikari, Arjun Roy, Anupam Roy, and Prasenjit Roy, they were placed in police custody for four days for further investigation. The arrests were made following a four-month operation related to Case No. 28/23. Additionally, authorities seized one motorcycle and three mobile phones from the suspects. The attack, motivated by an extortion demand of Rs 5 lakh, targeted a grocery shop, fortunately resulting in no explosions.
