Liquor worth Rs 6 crore sold on Diwali in Guwahati

People like to enjoy their drinks during Diwali. The sale of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in Guwahati witnessed a sharp jump during the two days of Diwali celebration.

Excise department officials said that almost Rs 6 crore worth IMFL was sold on October 24 and October 25. The sale of liquor during this festival season increases each year. Last year, liquor worth Rs 5 crore was sold during Diwali. This year’s sale figures have surpassed last year’s figures.
