Mamata landed at the Shillong airport all set to kick start poll campaign

All India Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee on Monday kick started the party’s poll campaign in the state. Meghalaya is going to polls early next year.

During the visit strategy TMC will finalise the strategy of assembly. TMC is likely to contest all the 60 seats.

On a first ever visit to the state Banerjee reached Umroi Airport, where she was welcomed by supporters and admirers from across the state.

Banerjee was accompanied by AITC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who is visiting the state for the third time. During her two-day visit, she will be attending a series of events accompanied by Meghalaya Trinamool Congress leaders.

On 13th of December, she will hold a Party Workers’ Convention at the U Soso Tham Auditorium, State Central Library, Shillong with key TMC leaders of the state, representatives of all District and Block committees, members of Women, Youth and Student frontals, and over hundreds of party workers and members.
