Missing Tripura Minor Rescued from Guwahati Railway Station; Abduction Plot Foiled

A minor girl from Tripura, missing since Valentine’s Day, was successfully recovered from Guwahati Railway Station on Tuesday. Reports suggest that she had been missing for two weeks and six days, during which an alleged plan to abduct and sell her outside Assam was thwarted by officials. The victim, lured under the pretext of a romantic relationship, was rescued by railway police who identified and arrested the accused, Tapan Namsudra. The police, acting on a kidnapping and missing person report filed by the parents, initiated investigations into the case. After the rescue, the minor girl was safely handed over to her parents.
