Over 5.34 Lakh Cases Pending in Assam Subordinate Courts

As of June 30, 2025, 5,34,246 cases remain pending in subordinate courts under the Gauhati High Court in Assam. In June alone, 30,245 new cases were filed and 27,501 disposed of. Of the pending cases, 1,08,930 are civil and 4,25,316 are criminal. Notably, 65,197 cases are over five years old.
