Teachers’ union holds a two-hour sit-in protest in every BEEO in Assam

On Wednesday, the Sadou Asom Prathamik TET Utirrno Shikshak Samaj protested across the state, demanding the unconditional regularisation of contractual and state pool teachers with pay security. Protests were held in front of every Block Elementary Education Office (BEEO).

Trailokya Deka, President of the Samaj, stated “As per the decision of the central executive meeting, we have undertaken these protests. We have undertaken a 2-hour sit-in protest in the 128 Block Elementary Education Office in 30 districts. And following the protests, from every district we have submitted memoranda to the Chief Minister of Assam through every Block Elementary Education Officer.”
