Nazrul Haque of Karimganj has been named the best Indian fish farmer

Nazrul Haque, a forward-thinking fish farmer from Karimganj district, has won the prestigious Best Indian Fish Farmer Award.

Nazrul Haque lives in Alekhargul, about 5 kilometres from Badarpur. The National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Hyderabad, established the award.

Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, attended the World Fisheries Day event on Tuesday at Ahmedabad’s Science City.
