Teachers’ union urges Assam government to pay DA in one installment

Sadou Asom Sanmilita Sikshak Mancha has urged the state government to pay Dearness Allowances (DA) in a single installment. “The Government of Assam has recently announced the DA for government employees with effect from July 1,” said SASSM president Ranjit Borthakur. Employees expected to receive DA and arrears before Durga Puja or Diwali. However, the government recently decided to pay the DA and arrears in two installments in January and April 2024, leaving teachers and employees disappointed.”
