The drone technology programme for the armed forces at IIT-Guwahati

A three-month drone technology training programme for junior commission officers (JCOs) and other rank officers has been launched by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati). The programme will be extended in due course.

The program’s main goals are to modernise armed forces operations, provide cutting-edge skills for drone operations and utilities, and ease the transition for the armed forces as they consider post-retirement career options in the rapidly growing drone technology sector. It is being carried out by the Centre for Educational Technology (CET), Centre for Intelligent Cyber Physical Systems (CICPS), Centre for Drone Technology, and IIT Guwahati Technology Innovation and Development Foundation (IITG TIDF).
