The GMC market in Ulubari is scheduled to be finished in a year: Ashok Singhal

On Thursday, Mrigen Sarania, the mayor of Ulubari, and Ashok Singhal, the minister of housing and urban affairs, visited the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) under-construction market site. The minister gave his word that the project would be finished and the market open for business in the upcoming eight to ten months.

The minister added that construction has started on the city’s other GMC markets, which are located in Beltola and Ganeshguri, and that it will soon be finished. He continued by saying that the contractors will be assigned shortly and that efforts will be made to identify the reasons behind the GMC projects’ delays in completion.
