The situation of Assam flood worsens as death toll reaches 3

The flood situation in Assam remains severe as over four lakh people across nine districts have been affected, although water levels have started to recede. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), three individuals have lost their lives due to the first wave of floods in various parts of the state.

The districts of Baksa, Barpeta, Darrang, Dhubri, Goalpara, Kamrup, Lakhimpur, Nalbari, and Udalguri have witnessed the impact of the deluge, with over 4,07,700 people affected. While water levels have begun to recede in certain areas, the situation remains challenging.
