ULFA threatens GP Singh, the DGP of Assam

On July 23, the militant United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) warned GP Singh, director general of police (DGP) of Assam, of dire consequences if he did not stop conducting encounters.

This comes after a woman was detained in Dibrugarh by Indian Army and Assam Police troops for allegedly having suspicious ties to the banned faction.
