9 cattle smugglers were detained by Guwahati Police

Four attempts to smuggle a total of 57 cattle into Meghalaya were stopped by a team from the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) stationed at Khetri.

The nine cattle smugglers were Giyasuddin, Makhmadul, Abdullah, Narzul Islam, Tajmul Hussain, Rubul Amin, Jakir Hussain, Ajimuddin, and Ijajul Islam from Moirabari, Juria, Rupahi, and Chotia.

Three trucks and one pickup truck were seized by the team.
