9th Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival to Showcase Diverse Cinema in Guwahati

The 9th edition of the Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival (BVFF) will be held from December 5 to 8 at Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio in Guwahati. The festival will feature a wide range of films, including feature films, documentaries, and short films, selected from over 220 entries.

Festival Director Tanushree Hazarika highlighted the event’s mission to promote Northeast India’s culture and talent. Special screenings will include films like Mithya (Kannada), Zende: The Supercop, and Angammal (Tamil). Industry figures such as Tigmanshu Dhulia and Sandeep Modi are expected to attend.

The previous edition of the festival, held in 2023, was a major success after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
