Three ULFA-I Associates Arrested in Upper Assam

Two overground workers (OGWs) and a linkman of the United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) were arrested in separate operations in Dibrugarh and Charaideo districts on Friday.

Identified as Ujjal Gohain, Shashanka Rajkhowa, and Prem Newar, the trio was reportedly in contact with senior ULFA-I commanders via encrypted messaging. Military Intelligence and Assam Police carried out the operations based on shared intelligence.

These arrests follow recent efforts to disrupt ULFA-I networks in the region.
