Assam’s Joha Rice Exported to Vietnam, Boosting Farmer Prospects

A 10,000 kg consignment of Assam’s premium Joha rice (Kon Joha) from Nitaipukhuri, Sivasagar, was flagged off to Vietnam under the APART Market Linkage initiative. Facilitated by Safe Agritrade Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, the paddy was sourced from local farmers with government support. Officials, including the District Agricultural Officer, Sivasagar, attended the event. This marks a significant step in promoting Assam’s scented rice in global markets.
