  • Assam

In response to a recent comment made by the Assam Chief Minister, the leader of the opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly, Debabrata Saikia, has demanded that a proper investigation be conducted into the state government’s recent employment drives.

The chief minister stated that if proper documentation was obtained from the principal of the primary school, the upper age limit for fourth-grade positions could be waived because they are state citizens. Taking this into account, the opposition leader stated that the chief minister was aware of the corruption during the recruitment process and demanded a thorough investigation. He stated that the opposition wants all recruitments to be fair and transparent, and that anyone involved in corruption be punished for their crimes.
