Businessman Abducted in Sonari, Ransom Demanded

In Sonari’s Namtola, businessman Moslek Ali was abducted on November 25 by suspected armed Naga miscreants. The kidnappers demanded a ₹25 lakh ransom. Witnesses reported that the armed men fired blank rounds and threw a grenade that didn’t explode before forcibly taking Ali from his shop.

A video shows Ali pleading with his family to arrange the ransom, even suggesting selling property.

Separately, in Guwahati’s Paltan Bazar, a pregnant woman was abducted on November 22 near the police station. Citizens are raising concerns over public safety after these incidents.
