The district administration has taken precautions in preparation for the upcoming Diwali festival to avoid potential fire-related incidents in the district. They have established a helpline number for city residents to call in the event of a fire emergency.

The District Disaster Management Authority of the Kamrup Metro District has announced two phone numbers, 9365429314 and 1077 (toll-free), for the public to call in the event of a fire. In addition to these numbers, citizens can call 0361-2737680 in the event of a fire.
