Government of Meghalaya to recruit 2,000 police personnel, says CM

Meghalaya chief minister, Conrad K Sangma, has declared that his government will hire 2,000 police officers to reinforce law enforcement in the state.

The chief minister has promised to equip the new force with modern technologies, such as new vehicles for different police stations and acquiring motorcycles to speed up emergency response times.
