Himanta and Shah discusses about complete withdrawal of AFSPA in Assam

On September 4, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met in New Delhi to discuss the process for completely removing the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act from the State.

According to Mr. Sarma, his administration will move forward with the recommendations made by the home minister.
