In Assam, two minor sisters drown in a river

Two minor sisters died after drowning in a river in Baghbar, Assam’s Barpeta district.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, when the two sisters were swept away by strong currents in the Jaljali river.

After receiving information, police arrived on the scene and, with the assistance of locals, recovered one sister while the other remains missing.
