Meghalaya teacher makes minor wear shoe garland for failing to speak in English

A sixth-grade student in Meghalaya who fail to speak English inside the school’s campus was punished by being made to wear a garland made out of filthy shoes around his neck.

According to reports, the boy was forced to parade before the headmaster, teachers, and fellow students while wearing dirty shoes.

The child’s parents filed a police complaint, alleging that the school subjected their son to “disturbing” and “illegal” severe punishments.
