Mysterious Death of Assam Man in Nepal Sparks Investigation

Amitabha Sarma (52), a resident of Hailakandi town in Assam, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Nepal. Sarma had traveled to Nepal for eye treatment with a friend on February 19, 2024. Both stayed in Biratnagar, and on February 21, Sarma went missing from the hotel. The friend alerted the family and Nepal Police. After 48 hours, the police discovered Sarma’s body in an abandoned location in Biratnagar. The body has been sent for post-mortem as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
