RTI activist held for Rameshwar murder case in Manipur

RTI activist and lawyer Wahengbam Joykumar was arrested on Saturday night in connection with the recent murder of Manipur unit BJP ex-serviceman cell convener Laishram Rameshwar Singh, police sources said.

Rameshwar, 55, was shot dead by two persons who came in an SUV near his residential gate at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai in Thoubal district on last Tuesday. The police, on the same day, arrested the driver of the vehicle – Ricky Ponting aka Amu (24) of Keinou area in Bishnupur district, currently staying in the Haobam Marak area in Imphal West district.
