The Assam government signs MoU with Tata Power to establish electric vehicle charging network

The Assam Government’s Transport Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Power on Saturday to establish a network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the city at an event held in the transport department’s office in Khanapara in the presence of the department’s minister, Parimal Suklabaidya.

Dr. Robin Kumar, Transport Commissioner, signed the agreement on behalf of his department, while Virendra Goyal, Tata Power’s head of business development, signed on behalf of his company. Ten EV charging stations will be installed throughout the city as part of the pilot project to encourage the use of such vehicles.
