1 held and seized Two gold bars worth Rs 1.32 crore in Tripura

In a joint operation with police, the BSF seized two gold bars worth Rs 1.32 crore from a pick-up van at the city’s Shekerkot market on Saturday and arrested the vehicle driver, the armed force said on Sunday.

The accused has been identified as Nazrul Islam.

Police said initial probe revealed that the gold bars were being smuggled from Bangladesh and were scheduled to be delivered to a jewelry racket in Agartala.
