2 women arrested and seizd 20 boxes of heroin by ANTF

Heroin was recovered from two women occupants of a vehicle at Nongsning village, East Jaintia Hills travelling in a commercial vehicle (MZ 4 A 2997), were heading towards Khliehriat from Silchar, Assam, the Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) team along with officers from Khliehriat police station conducted naka checking at Nongsning village and intercepted the vehicle.

After the search, 20 boxes (10 each) of suspected heroin were found strapped to their bodies. Preliminary test showed positive result for heroin. Besides the heroin, two mobile phones were also seized from the ladies identified as Hoihoi Hanhal (35) and Lhing Hohoi (40) both residents of Langol disitrct, Imphal, West Manipur.
